Effective date

This policy takes effect on the date this site goes live at its public address and applies from that date forward. Until then the contact forms are inactive and transmit nothing.

Who this is

What this site collects

Only what you type into a form, plus the ordinary technical records any web server keeps.

From the seller form: the property address, your timing, the property type, anything you write in the notes field, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

From the buyer form: the areas you are interested in, property type, timing, how you expect to finance a purchase, anything you write in the notes field, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

From the contact form: your message, your name, and the phone number or email address you give.

Automatically: the hosting provider records standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

This site does not ask for and does not want your Social Security number, date of birth, financial account numbers, or any government identification number. Please do not send them through these forms.

Why it is collected, and where it goes

Form submissions are sent to Steve Thielsen’s own email address so he can answer your question. That is the only purpose. Submitting a form does not create a client relationship or an agency relationship, and it does not obligate you to anything.

Your information is not sold, rented, or traded. It is not shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or lead-buying services.

Third parties this site relies on

Two services necessarily see technical information when you visit:

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes requests, including your IP address, in order to serve the pages and protect against abuse.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses. Loading them sends your IP address and browser information to Google.

Beyond these, information you submit may be handled by the email provider Steve uses to receive and store his mail.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile, and no third-party pixel.

Do Not Track

Because this site does not track visitors across other websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. No response is made to those signals, and none is needed.

How long it is kept

Inquiries are kept in Steve’s email for as long as they are useful for the conversation you started and for any record-keeping California real estate law requires. If you ask him to delete an inquiry and no legal obligation requires keeping it, he will.

Your choices

You may ask what information about you is held, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email steve@steve-re.com or call 707-364-6983 and say what you want done. Any request will be answered within a reasonable time and without charge.

If you gave a phone number and would rather not be called or texted, say so and it will be honoured. If you asked to hear from Steve and later change your mind, tell him and the contact will stop.

California residents may have additional rights over personal information under state law, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. The rights described above are extended to everyone who uses this site, regardless of where you live.

Children

This site is meant for adults making property decisions. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Fair housing

Information you provide is never used to treat you differently on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, disability, or any other class protected by federal or California fair housing law. Steve Thielsen and Century 21 Epic support the Fair Housing Act and equal opportunity in housing.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial details through a web form.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy posted here before the change takes effect.
